Hyundai Just Made a Koenigsegg? Meet the Genesis Magma GT Concept”

Hyundai and Genesis just shocked the entire car world.
This is the Genesis Magma GT Concept, the brand’s first-ever attempt at a real supercar — and the internet is already calling it Korea’s answer to Koenigsegg.

Unveiled under Genesis’ new Magma performance division, the Magma GT is positioned as the halo model for the brand. The design alone looks like it came straight out of an Italian design house: low roof, long tail, butterfly doors, and a rear lightbar stretching corner to corner.

What’s even crazier is what Genesis is hinting at.
While they haven’t confirmed the powertrain yet, they did reveal that the car is mid-engined and inspired by “classic GT race-car proportions” and “effortless performance.” For a brand known for luxury sedans, that’s a massive shift.

Genesis says the Magma GT represents their long-term plan to take on the European performance market — meaning brands like Porsche, McLaren, Aston Martin, and yes… maybe even Koenigsegg.

Production isn’t confirmed, but the fact that Genesis is calling this their halo model means a road-legal version is very likely.

Until then, one thing’s clear:
Korea just entered the supercar chat.
